Bring the liquid to a boil, stir in the oats, reduce the heat to a simmer, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes for rolled oats, or just 1 minute for quick oats. Fluff before serving and add desired toppings. Oats can also be ground into flour at home using a blender for use in gluten-free baking recipes.
